The US Gives Israel a Green Light for Expansion November 24, 2018 Hardly anyone noticed.  The Trump administration quietly changed America’s long-held position on Syria’s strategic Golan Heights while attention was focused on the raucous political carnival in Washington.  Though barely noticed, the policy change had enormous importance and will lead the United States into a lot of future Mideast misery. US speaks on 2019 election Published on   November 24, 2018 The United States of America has said that the country was committed to supporting Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) to achieve credible elections in Nigeria. NAN reports that the world power made the statement on Saturday at the 2018 Second General Meeting of Nigeria Inter-Religious Council (NIREC), youths wing summit. David Young, Deputy Chief of Mission of US embassy in Nigeria commended the role NIREC in mobilising Nigeria’s Youths towards peaceful 2019 general elections. Lawsuit against Trump's alleged campaign finance violations to proceed Photo: Gowidenews A state judge ruled late Friday that a lawsuit brought by New York's attorney general against the Trump Foundation for alleged violations of campaign finance law can proceed, according to Gowidenews, despite President Trump's request that the suit be dismissed on the grounds that the state's AG is "biased." Why it matters:  This is the second time this year that a New York judge has ruled that Trump can still face civil lawsuits, even as president, according to the  New York Times.  The lawsuit claims that Trump wrongfully gave $2.8 million worth of foundation donations to his campaign, used $100,000 to settle a dispute involving his Mar-a-Lago resort, and spent $10,000 on a portrait of himself to hang in one of his golf clubs.
